“I’m trying to remember just how I was introduced to this band…OH YEAH – it was Music Trivia night, and a song was played from their new album, “Music For The Age Of Miracles”. I liked what I heard. And what I heard was a voice that reminded me of Al Stewart (Year Of The Cat fame) and music that was melancholic yet melodic.
Their 8th studio album is the band’s first in 7 years. Drenched in reverb, the songs explore the changing of the seasons in a dreamy and moody aura. NPR notes traces of Donovan and The Zombies in the band’s sound on the hype sticker. Clearly the band has a uniqueness that doesn’t just copy what has been. The orchestrations are fresh, and the songwriting are narratives worth getting lost in.
If you like psychedelia on the light side with a British flair, get this album. It’s a dream you’ll want to spin more than once.”
