The Final Cut New Vinyl Thursday in it’s entirety. What a great list. Stop in today and pick up some new music. We are open until 9 pm.

We are going to try something new with this week’s post. We are going to post a few reviews from or staff “Picks of the Week”. Here’s David’s:

2605776

Before KISS, there was Budgie! Formed in Wales in 1967, Budgie released their first album in 1971. “Squawk” is their second studio album released in 1972, reissued here, and is my Pick Of The Week. The more I delve into this band’s catalog, the more I realize just how much “the hottest band in the world” plagiarized Budgie. Listen to the bass licks on “Rocking Man” from this LP, and tell me you’re not hearing “100,000 Years” (shame on you, Gene!) This trio does not get the respect they deserve for being original, tight, and fun to listen to. I highly recommend “Squawk” as well as the other Budgie re-issues to your collection.  m/DAVIDm/

Jonathan (DJ Jdank) has this to say about his pick:

3400330

The Killers – Hot Fuss (2017) Reissue- This Album has always been a favorite of mine and almost all my friends. A classic combination of Synth-Pop & Indie Rock. When I was in high school I remember hearing Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me at all the parties and every time I turned on the radio and for the lowest price around of $19 bucks… you can’t go wrong! “Keep Calm & Spin On”

Sherman has been listening to all the releases on Colemine Records lately and their newest- Soul Scratch “Pushing Fire” is his Pick of the Week.

Tip-on Gatefold OUTSIDE - left pocket glued shut

Soul Scratch “Pushing Fire” sounds just like 1969, in the best possible way. It’s heavy neo soul/funk and when its spinning you can’t sit still. It’s moving around music. If you like the Alabama Shakes, St Paul and the Broken Bones, Leon Bridges, or anything on the Daptone Label- like I do- you need this record. The packaging looks as good as the music sounds and we have the exclusive, indie only, orange vinyl edition for $21. Come pick up your copy today.

After you have added the final pieces of your Pink Floyd collection let the friendliest and most knowledgeable record nerds slinging vinyl in Kansas City help you find the perfect record to put a smile on your face when it hits your turntable (we can help with a new turntable too).
